Stay in Gaixample, the gay quarter: the left side of the Eixample, roughly between Muntaner, Casanova, Gran Via and Aragó. Metro Universitat or Urgell.

Mar Bella. Metro L4 to Poble Nou, ten-minute walk. Official nudist section, and the gay end is marked by the rainbow-flagged beach bar, Chiringuito BeGay, which throws beach parties in August.

Is Arena Madre still open in Barcelona?

Not at its old Carrer de Balmes address. The Arena clubs consolidated, and 'Madre' and 'Classic' are now rooms inside Arena Experience on Ronda de Sant Pere, even though guides dated 2026 still send people to the old street.
